Week 13 Post!

Image
This week, I met up with Clare, and she gave me some tips on what to include in my final poster to make it more presentable. Based on the rough draft I submitted, we also discussed what I needed to modify for the final research paper. I have been working on those two final papers for the last few hours. I am close to finishing them and am excited about that. I cannot believe we are weeks away from finishing this semester; it is unbelievable how fast time has passed. I can not wait for summer break, and I relax for a few weeks without worrying about juggling school with my work hours. Hope all of your last weeks of school go smoothly.

Week 12 Blog!

Hi everyone, this week, Clare introduced LaTex to me. LaTeX is a typesetting system commonly used for technical and scientific documents such as academic papers. It's prevalent in mathematics, computer science, engineering, and physics. LaTeX allows users to focus on the content of their documents without worrying too much about formatting, as it separates the content from the layout. It uses markup commands to define the document's structure, such as sections, chapters, equations, tables, and references. LaTeX then compiles these commands into a beautifully formatted PDF document. It's known for its high-quality typesetting of mathematical equations and complex documents. I have been fiddling around with it, and it is pretty cool. I attached a pic so you guys can take a look!  Take care!

Week 11 Blog!

Hi, everyone. I met with Clare today to discuss the Research Paper Rough Draft that is due this Thursday, and she gave me some insightful and helpful ideas for this paper. I am almost finished with this rough draft; I have some minor things to add to the paper. I have just realized that this semester is nearly ending. I enjoyed this semester's research; although it took some work to understand all the techniques employed in machine learning, it was fascinating. I am excited to see all of your presentations and research papers. I hope everyone is doing well and your research is going smoothly.

Hello, everyone, I have been trying to finish my rough draft, but I have not been able to dedicate as much time as I wanted. I was supposed to devote some time today since it's my day off, and I only have one class in the morning, but I didn't realize that I had a mid-term exam and a whole chapter for my networking class due on Sunday. I decided to do my Networking exam today to avoid stressing the rest of the week since I have to go to work. But OMG, it took me over 5 hours to complete it!!  After this, my brain is fried... I still need the assignments for the whole chapter due on Sunday and finish my rough draft :(... I am glad this semester is almost over haha. I need a break!

Week 9 Blog!

Hello everyone,  I have been working on my research paper this week, and Clare has been helping and guiding me. I have been getting extra hours at work because of the holiday, which takes a lot of time away from my assignments and homework. :( I have wanted to review the previous chapters from my networking class and my Java programming class since next semester, and I have to take the level II Java programming class. Still, I need more time to do both. At this point, I'll have to wait until summer comes and I am out of school to have some time to review both classes. Have a happy Easter!

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic spring break, and you had time to decompress and relax. I am currently taking a Networking class, and during this spring break, I wanted to review previous chapters because there are a few concepts that I need to understand fully. Unfortunately, I did not have time to review them since they contained much information, and I still had to go to work. I am currently on chapter 9 of the Cisco networking class this week, and I only got to review the first three chapters last week, so I'll have to make time to review those remaining chapters :(. The pic I uploaded is for one of the assignments due for this week in that Networking class.

Week 7 Blog!

Hello, this week, I continued to work on my project background with the help of Clare and her input and ideas for the project. We are halfway through the semester, and I am shocked by how fast this semester is going. I want to focus more on my project since cybersecurity is a rapidly growing concept and revisit my Java class ( I took this accelerated course last summer and was getting full-time hours at work), so I learned it differently than I wanted. Still, with people getting vacation time in my department, I am forced to work full-time hours, which takes an incredible amount of time off my current classes. So I am forced to postpone things thanks to that, but I hope to make time for those things soon. Hope everyone has a fantastic spring break!
