Week 4!

 

Hello, everyone. I met with Josh today to talk about the research paper & future meetings. I just finished writing my research proposal; it has been a long day. Cybersecurity threats have become increasingly sophisticated, posing significant challenges to organizations across various industries. Traditional cybersecurity measures must often be improved to detect and mitigate these evolving threats. Machine Learning (ML) techniques have shown outstanding promise in identifying and predicting potential security breaches from vast datasets. My research paper will compare the efficiency of two prominent ML algorithms, Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM), in detecting anomalies in network traffic.
