Week 6 Blog!

Image
Hello everyone,  I worked on changing my tomato disease photos this week in the lab. Last week, I created two different tomato picture folders, and this week, when I was developing the machine learning code, I realized that I needed a test tomato folder, so I created that folder and put in the different pictures for the various categories inside that folder. Once I finished doing that, I started making my Python machine-learning code but encountered an issue with the dataset. I saved the dataset of pictures with a different name, so when I try calling it on my code, it will not accept it. I am still figuring that out; I hope I can.

Week 5 Blog!

Hi everyone,  This week, I continued working with Josh to find a video showing how to create Python machine learning. We saw a video that required us to download an immense database of tomato-related diseases. We downloaded the file, selected only twenty pictures of each category, and uploaded them to Google Drive to use as our database to follow along with the video. Next week, we will follow along with the video, and hopefully, we can recreate the program. Once we have our Python machine learning, we will try and change the images to the ones for the bacteria and modify the code to access these images. I hope everything is going well for everyone!

Week 4 blog!

Hello everyone, I have been working with Josh this week as we are trying to find a video with Python code to help me create an image classification using Google Colab. We have yet to find a successful source since some of the videos use another platform or ask for other databases. This assignment has been challenging since this is my first time using Python as a programming language, and I have only done a few lessons and activities with basic Python code. With the help and guidance of Josh, we can create an image classification that will allow us to accomplish our mission. I will keep you posted on our journey.

Week 3 blog!

Hi everyone, I have had little free time to do Python lessons or go to the lab this week. Since it was a holiday on Monday, they have been scheduling me more hours at Costco, and two more of my classes started this week as well. Working full-time and doing full-time school and the internship is challenging and stressful. Hopefully, they will give me fewer hours at Costco next week so that I will be relaxed and more relaxed with my time. Last week, I spent a few hours working on Python lessons I found online, and it is interesting what a computer can do with just a few commands. I look forward to spending more time learning this programming language.
