Week 10 Blog!

Image
Hello everyone,  Last week in the lab, I added more photos to our dataset because our graphs needed more accuracy. I uploaded screenshots of the accuracy from previous weeks when I had a smaller dataset, and for the current one, I added more photos to the dataset. The picture on the right is the previous accuracy, and the image on the left uses the more extensive and current dataset. I am close to getting a complete working code; I am having trouble with the last ten lines of code, but Josh is helping me. Once that complete code works, we can change the tomato leaf dataset to our bacteria dataset.

Week 9 Blog!

Hello everyone,  Last Wednesday, I got sick with COVID-19, so I was away from work and the lab for a few days, but I am finally back. I still feel weak; hopefully, that will go away soon. Last week, Josh and I were working on the Python code, and our accuracy chart was off because we didn't have enough pictures. I am in the lab trying to download that compressed file of almost 50,000 photos, but it says it will take more than one day to download, and it's been displaying that same message for over an hour now....... Hopefully, it downloads faster. If not, I'll have to see what else I can do; in the meantime, I can only wait.

Week 8 Blog!

Hello everyone, This week, Josh and I made quite an advancement in our code, and we are getting close to running all of the code successfully. Last week, I had trouble accessing our dataset pictures, so I had to download the whole dataset again and unzip the file containing around 20,000 images. We only uploaded 400 total pictures, so when we got to the part of the code where it plots the accuracy, we could see that our data was not accurate. So now we have to go back and download more pictures and upload them into our dataset so that the plot gives us more precise information.

Week 7 Blog!!

Hello everyone!! Josh and I have still been working on our deep-learning training model this week. We both encountered some issues with the datasets folders in our Google drives. Josh's Google Drive should have two main folders with ten folders inside each main one. His is only showing one main folder and only three inside the other main folder. Mine displays the main folders and the ten folders inside each main folder, but the ten folders of one main folder do not have the images. I must download the whole dataset, put the photos into folders again, and upload them onto Google Drive. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue.
