Hi everyone,

After talking with Clare, I decided that I would focus my research on machine learning in cybersecurity this semester. Since the last two semesters, I have been focusing on machine learning for bacteria identification. It seems fair to continue with machine learning but focus on a different role. Learning how machine learning and Information Technology work together would be interesting since technology is a big part of our daily lives. Once I have more information on the subject, I will let you know how my project is going. Hopefully, all your projects and classes are starting on a good note.

  Hello everyone!! This week, I worked with Josh in the lab, learning how to access Google Colabs and looking into learning Python as a programming language in Google Colabs as well. As part of my internship, I will try to learn how to code in Python by finding online tutorials or exercises. If someone in this group knows of any good and helpful web pages for me, please let me know since I am still searching for some. I am excited to try and learn Python independently since it is a skill I will significantly benefit from. I will inform you about my progress and post some learning exercises here.   Hi everyone! This semester, I will learn a little about Python as a programming language and work with Microsoft Azure; & I will also do some of the things I did in the previous semester, which is plating the bacteria and taking pictures of the colonies. I am excited, & nervous at the same time to start this new semester. Last semester was challenging because I was a full-time student and worked an average of 30 to 40 hours at Costco. I am in the same boat this semester, so I am nervous, but I did well in all my classes last semester, so I am confident that I can do it again this semester. I hope everyone has an excellent first week of school!

 Hi everyone,  I worked on my final paper for this internship yesterday in the lab. With the help of Josh, I made some corrections that he suggested for my last submission. I still have a few more things to work on before finishing this assignment, but I have made some good progress and learned a lot, which is crucial. I am glad this semester is almost ending since it has been hectic. I am very grateful for all the opportunities I have had this year, and I am excited to see what else is in store this following semester. I hope everyone else projects is coming out nicely and as planned.
